Several acts of thefts have been reported of decorations at grave sites in Greenwood Cemetery.
Jennings Police Department Chief Danny Semmes said Friday that he would be increasing patrol in the area.
“There is no good reason to steal flowers off a grave,” he said. “If you are not in the cemetery to visit a loved one, we are going to stop you and if we find you there again, we will arrest you for remaining after forbidden.”
Jennings resident Kim Precht said she has been having flowers stolen frequently from her late husband Tom’s grave.
