The Lacassine Cardinals finished off a season sweep of rival Bell City on Thursday afternoon by spanking the Bruins 8-4 at Legion Field in Jennings. The Cardinals banged out nine hits, and used a big second inning to claim the win. Lacassine improves to 7-11 overall, 3-1 in district 7-B. The Cards wrapped up district play with the win, and are in the driver’s seat to claim the league title. Payton Miller piced up the win on the mound for Lacassine, while Kole Bourgeois came on in relief to earn the save.
