ELTON — The Elton Indians kick-started their football season last Thursday night by hammering the Gueydan Bears 36-0 in their abbreviated jamboree action. Now, the Indians have turned their attention to the Pickering Red Devils, their week one opponent. The Indians defeated the Red Devils in their opener a season ago, a win that snapped a long losing streak for the Indians. The two teams will meet at Cleve Beard Stadium Friday night. Coming off their preseason scrimmage. Elton Head Coach Marcus Lejeune said he saw a lot of improvement in their jamboree thrashing of the Honey Bears.
