LAFAYETTE – The Iota Lady Bulldogs stepped out of district play Thursday evening and ran straight into a buzz saw.
Two-time defending Division IV state champion Lafayette Christian (22-4) gave the Lady Dogs trouble defensively for the better part of three quarters en route to a 46-30 victory.
The loss sent Iota to 14-9 on the season.
“We just couldn’t get anything going on offense,” said IHS coach Meghann LeJeune, whose team didn’t score its first point until just over six minutes remaining in the second quarter.
