The sub-committee of the United States Senate, consisting of Senators Ransdell, La., Caraway, Ark., and McNary, Oregon, are holding sessions at Crowley today. Tuesday the committee sat in New Orleans and heard evidence on the charge that the growers are being defrauded in the interests of the millers. They also, while at New Orleans, investigated the operations of the Southern Rice Growers Association, now defunct.
