Clarence Eugene Simon

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Eugene Simon, 68, of Jennings will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Jennings, with Reverend Pernell Trent officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in St. Peterson Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Mr. Simon entered eternal rest on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, in Jeff Davis Living Center in JenningsA.

He loved sports, playing dominos and picking pecans and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his significant other, Carol Gatewood of Jennings; his Godson, Loney Simon of Jennings; seven brothers, James “Jimmy” Simon and his wife, Jean, of Vacaville, Calif., Frederick Simon, Sr., and his wife, Barbara, of San Francisco, Calif., John Simon and his wife, Robin, of Arizona, Howard Simon of Jennings, Stanley Simon and his wife, Ruthie, of Elton, Dwight Simon and his wife, Michelle, of Abbeville and Mark Simon and his wife, Consondra, of Mamou; seven sisters, Sharon Flin of California, Norma Tatmon and her husband, Gene, of California, Barbara Harris of Vacaville, Calif., Flora Gail Mixon of Jennings, Geraldine Daniel and her husband, Charles, of Jennings, Wanda Faye Bell of Jennings and Judy Stephenson and her husband, Melvin, of Greenville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Homer Simon, Sr. and Margaret Seeley Simon; his wife, Elizabeth Simon; one brother, Lawrence Simon, Jr.; and one sister, Ann Marie Allen.
