AJ Thibodeaux
Funeral services for Mr. AJ Thibodeaux will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau, with Father Andrew Schumacher officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service.
Burial will take place in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery following the service.
The family is honoring his wishes to be cremated.
Mr. AJ passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on July 1, 1954, in Crowley to Wilton “Tan” and Laura Hebert Thibodeaux. AJ was a longtime resident of the Crowley area. He was the owner and operator of Thib’s Machine and Welding in Crowley. He loved to travel while enjoying his ’69 Mustang.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shelly (Brian) Bonnie of Jennings and Heather (Jason) Williams of Sulphur; one son, Brad Thibodeaux of Crowley; four siblings, sisters Dianna (Ted) Breaux of Mermentau and Stella Peveto of Sulphur and brothers Gerald (Mark) Thibodeaux of Lafayette and Paul (Darla) Thibodeaux of Crowley; nine grandchildren, Taylor (Ashley), Tyler and Tanner Bonnie, Hunter, Ayden and Ally Williams and Grace, Brad John and Mary Thibodeaux; two greatgrandchildren, Beckham and Emmett Bonnie and godchild Thresa Thorne, along with five nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Cheryl Mouton Thibodeaux; daughter Brandie Thibodeaux and his parents, Wilton “Tan” and Laura Thibodeaux.
The family would like to thank his many wonderful friends who have been like family to him.
