Dolores V. Schoultz

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Dolores V. Schoultz announces her passing from this life on Nov. 12, 2019, at the age of 79.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at 2 p.m.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning Thursday, Nov. 14, from 4:30-8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. until the time of her service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Gatte Cemetery.

Dolores was born in Jennings to Adam Dallas Gatte and Deveda Ross Gatte on May 30, 1940.

She was the owner and a groomer at the Puppy Bath. She loved cooking and serving the Lord. Most of all, Dolores loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dolores is survived by her son, Earl James “Jamie” Leger II (Susan) of Hathaway; her daughter, Susan Gallo (Thomas) of Jennings; her sister, Connie Aucoin of Hayes; her five grandchildren, Amy, Dallas, Abigail, Elizabeth and Caden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Deveda Gatte; her beloved husband, Willie Schoultz; her brother, Austin Gatte; and her sisters, Dorothy Romero, Iris Deshotel and Caroline Gatte.
