Dorothy Irma Woolley
Dorothy Irma Woolley of Lake Arthur passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, from natural causes while recovering from a stroke.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Lake Arthur.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 11:30 a.m. and services beginning at 1 p.m., with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Anthony Mausoleum.
Dorothy was born Sep. 9, 1929, in Lake Arthur and was a lifelong resident of the town.
She was a fabulous cook, a diehard Saints and LSU fan and a loving, compassionate and beautiful soul who dedicated her life to her family.
Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Duhon, and her husband, Neil Woolley.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Peggy Bossley and Grace Moncla; her children, Kathleen Kyzar, Richard Woolley, Joel Woolley and Camilla Basham; her grandchildren, Kaye, Brandon, Craig, Scott, Annie, Olive, Ivy, Kyle, Wendy and Hannah, as well as her many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
