Hazel Marie LeBlanc Crochet
A Mass of Christian burial for Hazel Marie LeBlanc Crochet of Jennings will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, with Father Trey Ange officiating.
A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 4-8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume today, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass.
Hazel will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
Hazel was born on Dec. 10, 1931, to Maurice LeBlanc and Arcin Istre LeBlanc in Lake Arthur and she was called to her Heavenly Father on April 13, 2022, at the beautiful age of 90.
She was a homemaker and retired nurse who dedicated her life to the care of her family. Hazel was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Woodmen of the World.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and doing puzzles in her spare time. Her greatest joys came from helping others and spending time with her family. She was a loving and kind woman who will be dearly missed by all who know and loved her.
Hazel is survived by her two sons, David Fontenot of Jennings and Craig Fontenot of Jennings; her grandchildren, Dusty Fontenot of Minot, N.D., Josha Fontenot of Jennings and Justin Savoie of Kaplan and her greatgrandchildren, Peyton Tripp Fontenot and Josha Fontenot, both of Minot, N.D.
Hazel now rejoices in heaven with her parents, Maurice and Arcin LeBlanc; her sisters, Weava Newman and Alice Roy and her brothers, Gilbert LeBlanc and Wilson LeBlanc.
