Jane Necessary Boudreaux
A funeral mass for Jane Necessary Boudreaux, 74, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Father Keith Pellerin officiating.
Visitation began Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, from 2-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumed Tuesday from 8-9:30 a.m.
Mrs. Jane was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She was born on May 13, 1947, to James Necessary and Hazel Ruth Daughenbaugh Necessary.
She graduated from McNeese State University with a master’s degree in elementary education. After graduating, she became a kindergarten teacher in Egan and Evangeline. She retired after teaching 37½ years.
She was married to the love of her life, Dickie Boudreaux, on May 1, 1971, and they lived happily in Jennings raising their family until his death in 1999.
She loved all animals, especially her many cats. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her children. Her favorite time of year was the Christmas holiday and decorating her home.
She is survived by her son, Brian Patrick Boudreaux of Jennings; two daughters, Laurie Boudreaux of Jennings and Lynne (Lance) Champagne of Bossier City; and two grandchildren, Adeline and Landon Champagne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard “Dickie” Boudreaux; her beloved aunt Pearl Daughenbaugh; and her cousin and godmother, Anna Claire Daughenbaugh.
