Jeanette Mercer

Graveside services for Mrs. Jeannette Mercer, 105, of Jennings will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, with Father Marshall Boulet officiating under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mercer passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf and drinking her coffee. She was known by her friends and family as an amazing cook.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Richard H. Mercer, Jr., of Cathedral City, Calif., and Robert E. Mercer of Iota; and a sister, Dot Berry of Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl R. Stewart and LaReine McClung Stewart; her beloved husband, Richard H. Mercer; a sister, Elza Stewart; and a brother, Kenneth Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, Jennings Carnegie Library or the charity of their choice.
