Katherine ‘PeeWee’ Daigle Esthay

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine “PeeWee” Daigle Esthay, 66, of Evangeline will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, in Miguez Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Funeral home visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. Friday until time of services.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Esthay died at 7:03 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019, in her residence in Evangeline.

She was a lifelong resident of Evangeline and a graduate of Iota High School. She loved sewing, cooking and baking bread. She enjoyed working in her yard, doing arts and crafts and going to the farmers market. She absolutely loved her grandchildren and loved family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Esthay, Sr., of Evangeline; one daughter, Lucrecia (Vinson) Mouser of Bunkie; three sons, Jerry (Alicia) Esthay, Jr. of Iota, Claude (Gaylen) Esthay of Iota and Stacy Esthay of Evangeline; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Daigle; her sister, Shelly (Melvin) LeDoux of Jennings; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melton Daigle; and one brother, John Wayne Daigle.
