Margaret ‘Margo’ Dunn Gillard Landry

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Margaret “Margo” Dunn Gillard Landry of Welsh announces her passing from this life on Aug. 15, 2019, at the age of 73.

Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at 1:30 p.m.

Following her service, Margo will be interned in Pine Island Cemetery located on Pine Island Hwy. in Jennings.

Margo was born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, to Leroy Joseph Gillard and Caroline Dunn on Dec. 18, 1945. She worked as a records keeper. She loved gardening, crafting and cooking in her spare time. Margo’s greatest joy came from the time she was able to spend with all of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margo is survived by her husband, Larry Landry, Sr. of Welsh; her three sons, Larry J. Landry, Jr. (Karen) of Ocean Springs, Miss., Lance Joseph Landry of Lafayette and Layne Jacy Landry of Lafayette; her two daughters, Heather Landry Bergren (John) of Welsh and Kamala Caroline Iguess (Kevin) of Welsh; her six grandchildren, Ashley, Derrick, Aidan, Megan, Jordan and Shelby; and her four great-grandchildren, Jay and Jaxson, Charles and Kingston.

Margo was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Joseph Gillard and Caroline Dunn Gillard, and her grandson, Christian.
