Rick Francis LeMaire, Sr.

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Rick Francis LeMaire, Sr., 58, of Lake Arthur were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Lake Arthur Monday, March 4, 2019, at 11 a.m.

A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home beginning on Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 4-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumed on Monday, March 4, 2019, from 8 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Rick was born in Lake Charles on Aug. 27, 1960, to Frank LeMaire and Esther LeJeune LeMaire. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Feb. 28, 2019. Rick worked in the oilfield in production. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cooking and being out on his party barge. Rick also loved watching LSU football, doing wood working and spending time with his dog, “Honey Bun.” Most of all, Rick loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rick is survived by his mother, Esther L. LeMaire of Lake Arthur; his wife, Deanna S. LeMaire of Lake Arthur; his son, Rick LeMaire, Jr. (Keisha Deshotel) of Lake Arthur; his daughter, Alison LeMaire of Lake Arthur; his two grandchildren, Kellin LeMaire and Daxton LeGros of Lake Arthur; his brother, Clint LeMaire of Lake Arthur; and his sister, Julie L. Robicheaux (Edward) of Donaldsonville.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Frank LeMaire; and his sister, Carla LeMaire Scarborough.

Carrying Rick to his final resting place will be Lloyd Trey Moore, III, Ronnie Courville, John Courville, Noah Scarborough, Jake LaBauve, Bret LaBauve and Noah Robicheaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler LaBauve and Austin LaBauve.
