Robert Wayne ’T-Boy’ Richard

It’s with great sadness and the heaviest hearts that the family of Robert “T-Boy” Wayne Richard, 64, of Jennings announces his passing from his earthly life on Aug. 15, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at 4 p.m., with Brother Josh Belt officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Sunday from noon until 8 p.m.

Mr. Richard’s family will be honoring his wishes of cremation following his services.

T-Boy passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

T-Boy was born in Jennings to Mervin and Mildred Guidry Richard on Dec. 3, 1954. T-Boy worked as a heavy machinery operator for 45 years, a job he enjoyed. He also loved to cut grass. His grandkids held a special place in his heart and were the light of his life. T-Boy was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

T-Boy is survived by his companion, Joann Dunn; his former wife and Mother to his children, Debbie Richard; his son, Gregory “Cheesy” Richard (Julie) of Jennings; his daughter, Falisha LeJeune (Jason) of Mermentau; his two sisters, Janice Richard of Jennings and Charlene Cormier (David) of Eunice; his three grandchildren, Cooper and Ella LeJeune and Avery Richard; as well as numerous extended family, nieces, nephews and friends.

T-Boy was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Mildred Richard, and his grandson, Bradan Bruce.

The family of Robert Richard would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Heart of Hospice who helped their father make his journey easier and showed compassion in their greatest time of need.
