Rodney Alan Fruge

Funeral services for Rodney Alan Fruge, 59, of Welsh were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Father Charles McMillin officiating. A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home beginning Monday, Sept. 2, from 3:30-9 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumed Tuesday, Sept.r 3, 2019, from 8 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Andrus Cove Cemetery. Rodney was born in Jennings on Sept. 1, 1959, to Leonard Fruge and Leona Dupuis Fruge. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Aug. 29, 2019. Rodney was a truck driver. He loved fishing, eating, cooking and listening to French music. Most of all, Rodney loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rodney is survived by his wife, Kathleen Adams Fruge of Welsh; and his four brothers, John Fruge of Jennings, Ronnie Fruge of Orange, Texas, David Fruge (Ilean) of Welsh and Chris Fruge of Jennings. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Leona Fruge; his sister, Felicia Fruge Conner; and his nephew, Brandon Fruge.
