Ronnie Wayne Duplechan

Funeral services for Ronnie Wayne Duplechan, 60, of Sliverwood will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, July 12, 2012, at 7 p.m., with Pastor Craig Sams officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Friday, July 12, 2019, from 5 p.m. until the time of his service at 7 p.m.

Burial will follow Silverwood Cemetery.

Ronnie was born in Lafayette on Jan. 16, 1959, to Fletcher Duplechan, Sr., and Dorothy Jane Davis Duplechan. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on July 8, 2019.

Ronnie loved being outdoors, especially if he was fishing. He also loved playing Dominos and hanging out with his friends. Most of all, Ronnie loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Ronnie Wayne Duplechan, Jr., of New Roads; his two daughters, Tesha White of New Rhodes and Brandi Christine Allison of Lake Charles; his sister, Margaret Duplechan of Silverwood; his two brothers, Jerome Duplechan of Lake Arthur and August Duplechan of Houston, Texas; as well as his nine grandchildren.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Dorothy Duplechan, Sr.; as well as Fletcher Duplechan, Jr., Mary Sue Mitchell, Harold Duplechan, Darrell Duplechan, Gregory, Charles Duplechan, and Bridge Gail Guidry.
