Funeral services for Victor Wayne Richard, 58, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Josh Belt officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Victor was born in Crowley on Feb. 18, 1961, to Neubern Richard and Dorothy Leger Richard. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Sept. 8, 2019.

Victor was a production operator offshore. He loved to watch football and cook. Most of all, Victor loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Victor is survived by his son, Dustin Richard (Briege) of College Station, Texas; his two daughters, Brandi Hoffpauir (Derrek) of New Braunfels, Texas, and Victoria Cormier (Ryan) of Jennings; his two brothers, Raymond “Pookie” Richard of Metairie and Thomas “Jody” Richard of Hayes; his two sisters, Pamela Ashford of Eunice and Brenda Smith Pittsburg, Texas; and his 10 grandchildren, as well as one more on the way.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Neubern and Dorothy Leger Richard; and his brother, Charles “Bozy” Richard.
