William Lee ‘Billy’ LeJeune, Sr.
William Lee “Billy” LeJeune, Sr., 81, went to be with Jesus on April 29, 2022.
Visitation will be held at Miguez Funeral Home today, Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. and will continue Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
He was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Jennings.
Billy was a member of First Church of Christ. He was the owner of Quality Sand and Dirt until his retirement due to the crippling disease that eventually took away his ability to walk. Despite his disability, Billy kept a positive attitude and was known as a friendly, caring person who was seldom seen without his cowboy hat. As a young man, Billy was the Jennings Bowling Champ for three consecutive years, an accomplishment for which he was proud.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda Butson LeJeune; his two sons, Billy LeJeune and wife Diane, and Robert LeJeune and wife Michelle; grandchildren Beau LeJeune, Sarah LeJeune Wood and husband Nick, Jesse LeJeune and wife Sarah, Lauren Touchet and husband Shane, and Trey Caswell and wife Abby; greatgrandchildren Zoee, Eli, Sadie, Josie and Alyse Touchet; sister, Bertha Kibodeaux and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John LeJeune and Marjorie Reed LeJeune, sister Gaynell LeJeune Rosteet and brother John LeJeune.
