Wilton ’T-Bab’ Babineaux

Funeral services for Mr. Wilton “T-Bab” Babineaux, 82, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.
Visitation will be held in Miguez Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, and will continue from 8 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Babineaux died peacefully at 10:07 p.m. in his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Babineaux was a lifelong resident of Jennings and retired as a petrochemical operator. He was a wonderful father and did an awesome job raising his children. He liked to tinker with many things. He played the fiddle for over 40 years and was a member of the Cajun French Music Association. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church where he served as Lector.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn Jane Deshotel Babineaux of Jennings; one daughter, Sonya Babineaux of Jennings; five sons, Kade (Dorothy) Babineaux of Lafayette, Arthur (Laura) Babineaux of Lake Charles, Alan (Priscilla) Babineaux of Jennings, Darius (Amy) Babineaux of Welsh and Murnel Babineaux of Mandeville; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Estalia Fruge Babineaux; two sisters, Della Gilbert and Loretta Babineaux; and two brothers, Charlie and Wilson Babineaux.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas, Spencer and Jared Babineaux, Drew Hoffpauir, Patrick and Bryce Benoit.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Benoit, Hunner Leblanc and Dakota Dupre’.
