Conley Emile ‘Ross’ Ortego
It’s with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Conley “Ross” Emile Ortego announce the passing of their loved one from this life on Nov. 26, 2020, at the age of 28.
Funeral services for Conley “Ross” Emile Ortego, 28, of Jennings was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at 11 a.m.
A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020, from 4 p.m. until time of service on Monday, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m.
Burial followed in Andrus Cove Cemetery.
Conley was born in Jennings to Conley Ray Ortego and Belinda Sue Bouley Ortego on Oct. 6, 1992.
Conley loved the outdoors and fishing. Conley also enjoyed watching football and he had a love for music. His greatest joys came from spending time with all of his family and making wonderful memories with them. Conley was a kind and loving person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish Conley’s memories are his parents, Conley R. Ortego of Jennings and Belinda Ortego of Vinton; his wife, Jeanette Ortego of Opelousas; his children, Braylen, Aaliyah and Coleson Mire, all of Opelousas; his brothers, Patrick Mallett of Lacassine, Trent Bouley of Jennings and Jonah Cuellar of Vinton; his sisters, Ashley Ortego of Eunice, Bethamy Ortego of Jennings and Kaila Cuellar of Eunice; his grandmother, Patsy Langley of Jennings; his grandparents, Norbert and Lee Ethel Morvant of Jennings; as well as numerous extended family members.
Conley is joining in Heaven the family that went before him, including his grandfather, Louis Langley; his sister, Angel Ortego; and his uncles, Louis “Bud” Richard and Timothy Ortego.
Those chosen to honor Conley as his pallbearers will be Angel Gomez, Jonah Cuellar, Dustin Richard, Jeremy Richard, Damien Fournet and Tyler Holland.
