Stephanie Ann Benoit Trahan
Stephanie Ann Benoit Trahan, 55, passed away peacefully in her home in Carlyss on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, with Rev. Luke Krzanowski officiating.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Burial will follow in Istre Cemetery in Morse.
Stephanie was born Aug. 6, 1966, in Jennings.
Stephanie worked in medical records at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for over 11 years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss and a member of the Catholic Daughters. To say that Stephanie was an avid photo enthusiast would be an understatement! She also enjoyed cross-stitching, going to concerts, and in later years she competed in pageants with her youngest daughter.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Bergeaux Landry, and her stepmother, Madeline Mitchell Benoit.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ernest J. Trahan; daughter Kia Meaux and fiance Thomas Akins; daughter Khranna Benoit LaCombe; daughter Kasa Rowell and husband Bradley; father Ruston Benoit; grandchildren Trystan, Anthony, Mary, Zane, Colt, Joann and Faith; brother Cheney Benoit and wife Ann; and a host of other friends and relatives.
