Wilma Boudreaux LaFargue
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Boudreaux LaFargue, 95, of Jennings were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Rev. Keith Pellerin officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. LaFargue began Thursday at Miguez Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary was recited at 12:30 p.m.
Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Mrs. LaFarge was born in Crowley on March 27, 1926. She worked at Jeff Davis Bank for many years as a teller.
She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Jane Pierson of Jennings; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Nixon, Clay LaFargue, Candace Long and Robert LaFargue; 13 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; nieces, Tricia (Brad) LeGros, Jace’ Pierson and Sherrill Benoit; nephews, William Faulk, Robert Pierson and Brian Floyd; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd LaFargue; her son, Larry LaFargue; and two sisters, Dorothy Faulk and Verdie “Pitt” Floyd.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Jefferson Davis Living Center and Mrs. LaFargue’s primary caregivers, Pam Steiner, Sharlene Young, Corice Kilmer and Sherry Gatte.
Memorials in Mrs. LaFargue’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
