Frances Marcantel Planchard

Graveside services for Mrs. Frances Marcantel Planchard, 90, of Jennings will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at 1 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in New Orleans. Services and burial will be under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Visitation for Mrs. Planchard will be be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, from 2:30-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary led by Deacon Mike Tramel.

Mrs. Planchard worked in the communications industry as a manager, moving here from New Orleans in 1991. She enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino and traveling on vacations. She also loved spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Darcourt Planchard; her parents, Madison and Gladys Richard Marcantel; two sisters, Patricia Richard and Lou Anna Binkley; and one brother, Hillary “Pete” Marcantel.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
