SirDayland ‘Cat’ Miller

Funeral services for Mr. SirDayland “Cat” Miller, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 10, 2019, in Miguez Funeral Home.

Funeral home visitation was held from 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday and will resume from 8 a.m. today, Wednesday, until time of services.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Miller died Monday, July 8, 2019, in Encore of Crowley.

Mr. Miller was a native of Elton but lived most of his life in Hathaway. He was a retired tool pusher in the oil industry for close to 40 years. He loved to garden. He had a huge garden and loved mowing grass and doing outside work. He raised animals and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Mark) Guinn of Mermentau and Michelle (Bret) Deshotel of Lafayette; one sister, Penny Martin of Lafayette; one brother, MacNayland Miller of Lacassine; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Effie Smith Miller; and a brother, Kennon Miller.

Pallbearers will be Justin Roberie, Caleb Guinn, Tanner Guinn, Hayden Guinn, Chandler Guinn and Elijah Guinn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cary Deshotel, Elliot Guinn and Mason Guinn.
