Johnathan “JB” Nathaniel Huntsberry

Funeral Services for Johnathan “JB” Nathaniel Huntsberry, 32, of Lake Charles will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at 11 a.m. and will continue until the time of his service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow Gueydan Cemetery.

Johnathan “JB” Nathaniel Huntsberry was born in Lake Charles on Jan. 15, 1987, to Alferd Joseph Huntsberry and Joetta Francis Huntsberry. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on July 26, 2019.

Johnathan was a very strong, hard, dedicated worker. JB started doing seismographic work around the age of 18, strongly for 10 years. He then started working at Steel Yard as a crane operator and became the lead man over his crew. These past few years, JB’s brother, Glenn introduced him to the painting industry and hired him on with his company. Within that time, JB took in more knowledge the he knew and was able to start his own business. JB named his business JB’s Paint Can. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

JB became a father in his early 20s. JB was a father to three bright, intelligent young men named Colby, Jonathan, Jr., and Zebulan.

Johnathan leaves behind to cherish his precious memories his three sons, Colby, Johnathan, Jr., and Zebulan; his four brothers, Marcus “Brady” Gordon, Glenn Lee (Khalilah) Gordon, Norman Gordon and Craig Francis; his two sisters, Lutescha Nash and Shawntel (Robert) Lazard; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Johnathan was preceded in death by his parents, Alferd J. And Joetta Huntsberry.
