Euzebe Trahan, 84 years old, said to be the first man to raise rice in this section, died suddenly this morning at his home two miles north of Lake Arthur where he has lived for the past 77 years. Although he had not been in the best of health for the past several weeks his illness was not considered serious and this morning he rose from his bed as usual but died a moment later while sitting in a chair at his home.
