Elephants trapped in trailer mishap

WELSH - When the fire horn sounded in Jennings yesterday morning on a distress call from the Welsh area, few persons would had thought that it was to help free four stranded elephants.

JENNINGS IS A CELERY COUNTRY

The soil of the Grand Marais, just west of Jennings, will produce a larger and higher grade of celery to the acre than even the far-famed Kalamazoo (Mich.) celery fields, according to Fritz Huber, the owner of the Jennings Nursery and one of the best posted and most practical horperts in the southwest.
