Candidates for DA answer community’s questions

(Editor’s Note: The “Meet the Candidates” political forum was held Thursday, Feb. 10, hosted by Jennings Daily News and Jennings Lions Club. Publisher Dona H. Smith and Sports Editor Kevin Bruchhaus asked the questions. There are three candidates running for Jeff Davis District Attorney, including Elliott Cassidy, Lauren Heinen and Daniel Sparks. The candidates were asked the same questions and given either two or three minutes to respond, depending on the question. The following is a verbatim script of their answers as they were spoken.)
