The Jennings Diamond Dogs got their first win of 2022 at newly named Danny Reed Field Monday night by toppling previously unbeaten Iota by a final of 13-7. Jennings pounded out 12 hits in their comefrom-behind victory over the neighboring Bulldogs, and used a strong relief performance by senior Ethan Jardell to secure the win on a chilly evening. Jennings trailed 7-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, however reeled off 11 unanswered runs to steal the show in their home opener. The triumph gave first-year head coach Nicholas Duthu his first win, and moved Jennings out to 1-4 on the young season. Iota fell to 4-1 with the loss.
