Two days after knocking off the South Beauregard Golden Knights on their home field, the Jennings Diamond Dogs had their six game winning streak snapped in the return trip by the Knights. South Beauregard clipped the Bulldogs by a final of 11-3 at Danny Reed Field on Thursday night behind a strong pitching performance by Jace Duhon. Jennings was held to six hits, and the Golden Knights scored in every inning but the third and fourth to claim the win. Jennings falls to 11-12 overall, 5-3 in district 4-3A play. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs still currently sit at No. 8 in the latest Class 3A power ratings. The Dogs traveled to Westlake on Saturday to face the Rams in a big 4-3A showdown. Jennings will then host the Rams at Danny Reed Field on Tuesday in the second leg of district play.
