Judge won’t delay order for congressional remap in Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A federal judge in Baton Rouge refused on Thursday to delay her order for Louisiana to redraw its congressional districts while the state’s top elections official appeals.

WELSH — After being homeschooled for five years, one may find transitioning back into public school overwhelming. For Barrett Freeland, a freshman at Welsh High School, that was not the case. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, taking home top finishes in track, being involved in Trail Life, playing football, and competing in shooting sports, Freeland flourished and was even named the 2021-22 WAR Jr. High Student of the Year. Freeland explained being home schooled was challenging as his mom pushed him hard and credits this ethic with his seemly effortless ability to excel in the classroom.

Jennings graduate Lane Kratzer has led the Crowley Millers out to a 3-1 start by collectin 10 hits in those four games. He has four triples, four doubles and two singles in those contests. Kratzer will continue his baseball career at the University of Arkansas Monticello in the fall.
