LAKE ARTHUR – The 2023 basketball season came to an end for the No. 8-seeded Lake Arthur Lady Tigers Monday night as they fell to the No. 9-ranked Oakdale Lady Warriors by a final of 53-43. Although the Lady Tigers had home court advantage at “Nookie” Moore Gymnasium, it was Oakdale who jumped out to an early advantage and never looked back in claiming the win to advance to the Division IV non-select quarterfinals where they will take on No. 1 White Castle. Lake Arthur ends their season with a 19-11 record, and a District 6-2A title to their name.
