WADI GAZA, Gaza Strip (AP) — A ship carrying 200 tons of aid approached the coast of Gaza on Friday in a mission to inaugurate a sea route from Cyprus to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the enclave five months into the war between Israel and Hamas.

Diamond Dogs sweep DH over David Thibodeaux

The Jennings Bulldogs made it four in a row here yesterday by sweeping a doubleheader from the David Thibodeaux Bulldogs at Danny Reed Field. The Dogs won both games via the 10-run rule at 10-0 and improved their record to 10-5 on the season. The Dogs were back in action again on Friday when they traveled to Lafayette to face the same Bulldogs in the third game of their series.

Daigle inks at John Melvin University

The Jennings Bulldog baseball team has gotten off to a hot start to the 2024 season, but they got some great news off the field this week when senior pitcher Tyler Daigle inked a scholarship to play baseball at John Melvin University in Crowley. The Millers are a second year program that is already tasting success at the collegiate level, and play their home games at Historic Miller Stadium in Crowley. Daigle explained that this was a dream come true to further his playing career.
