POLICE FIND MISSOURI STUDENT RILEY STRAIN'S BODY IN TENNESSEE RIVER; NO FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain has been found dead in a Tennessee river. Police say no foul play is suspected. Metro Nashville police officials confirmed on Friday that Strain’s body had been recovered from the Cumberland River approximately 8 miles west of downtown. Police previously said the 22-year-old Strain was last seen just before 10 p.m. on March 8 after drinking downtown. A massive search had been underway ever since, with just small clues available to help investigators trying to find him. Authorities said an autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.

Jennings police makes three arrests

Jennings Police Department is reporting three separate arrests following investigations conducted to clean up illegal activity in the city.

APRIL'S TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE PROMISES TO BE THE BEST YET FOR EXPERIMENTS

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — April's total solar eclipse promises to be a scientific bonanza, thanks to new spacecraft _ and cosmic chance. The moon will be extra close to Earth, providing a long and intense period of darkness. Plus the sun should be more active with the potential for bursts of plasma. Then there's totality's densely populated corridor stretching from Mexico to the U.S. to Canada. Put all this together, and scientists are anticipating a windfall of learning on April 8. The U.S. won't see another total solar eclipse on this scale until 2045.

Easter egg hunt planned in Welsh
