ATLANTA (AP) — Any adjustments to the College Football Playoff for next season, including a potential tweak in the way byes are awarded, would have to take place later this year, probably in the spring, the leaders of the playoff said Sunday.
LAKE CHARLES — The Lacassine Lady Cardinals and Cardinals picked up a pair of big non-district road wins Friday night by knocking off the St. Louis Lady Saints and Saints. The Lady Card picked up a big 73-48 win over St. Louis in the first game while the Cards squeaked out a close one by a count of 68-61 to run their winning streak to 21 games. Thew win moved the Lady Cards to 7-10 overall, while the Cardinals improve to 21-1 overall on the season. The Cardinals are the No.1-ranked team in their division with their sparkling record. The two teams will be back in action on Friday night at John Juneau Gymnasium for Homecoming. The Lady Cards will do battle with the Lake Charles College Prep Lady Trailblazers, while the boys will take on the Midland Rebels.
