The Optimist Club of Jennings recently expanded their annual ‘Respect for Law’ program to include other essential workers in this time of need. The Club annually honors a Sheriff’s Deputy, a Police Officer and a Firefighter but, due to the special needs of the current times, they expanded to include hospital, nursing homes and ambulance personnel. Honored were (clockwise from top left) Corey LaMarque (far left), captain and firefighter/operator with Jennings Fire Department; Trevor Bullock (left), detective for Jennings Police Dept.; Leah Landreneaux (right), registered nurse at JALH in the outpatient unit; Linda Anhorn (center) of Jeff Davis Living Center. A 22-year employee, Linda is currently the housekeeping/laundry supervisor; Heather Griffen (left) and Paige LaComb (second from right), medics with Med Express Ambulance Service; Tracy Guidry, nurse at Camelot Brookside; Dave Perry (center), member of JALH Maintenance Team since 2009; and Lisa Ivey (center) detective for JDP Sheriff’s Office .
