Barbara Ann Uhlik

Barbara Ann Uhlik, 80, passed away on Oct. 29, 2018.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, with Barry Doucet officiating.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Uhlik was born in Jennings and was part of Jennings High School Class of 1956. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Jennings. She enjoyed keeping a tidy home and going dancing with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerald Uhlik; two daughters, Jacqulyn Smith Young (Russell), and Naomi Kaye Morris (Steve Fullington); son, Kenneth Wade Smith; stepson, Dave Uhlik; sister, Alice Villnerve; two brothers, J.C. Suire and Ray Suire; six grandchildren, Jason Young (Andrea), Jimmy Morris (Samantha), Aimee Hebert (Keno), Kari Young, Desiree Kerry (Justin) and Ethan Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren, Tanner, Gavin, Dyllan, Brady, Collyne, Mickaela, Huntlee, Holden, Evan, Blayson and Colvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Exile and Mamie Suire; two sisters, Germaine Suire and Mary Mamie Suire; and brother, Hubert “Boo” Suire.
