Barbara Jean LaBouve
It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Jean LaBouve announces her passing on Oct. 30, 2018, at the age of 58.
Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Anthony “Tony” Green officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3-10 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery with Adam Adams, Mason Adams, Manson Adams, Donald Demolle, Tylor Breaux, and J.R. Schexneider serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Byrd and Cody Perkins.
Barbara was born in Lake Charles to Willie Miller and Lulia LeLeaux Miller on Oct. 4, 1960. She was a homemaker, and dedicated her life to caring for her family. Barbara loved attending church and visiting with family and friends. Her greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Barbara was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Kim LaBouve of Jennings; her three sons, Manson Adams, Jr. (Tesa) of Jennings, Mason Adams (Jessica) of Jennings and Adam Adams (Jessica) of Iota; her two daughters, Crystal Chambers (Trey) of Crowley and Effie Adams (Donald DeMolle) of Iota; her two sisters, Inez Sullivan (Christopher) of Dayton, Texas, and Katherine Laighten (Earl) of Owensboro, Ken.; and her 15 grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lulia Miller; and her daughter, Wanda Adams.
