LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Mr. Clifford Vaughan, 92, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, in Miguez Funeral Home, with Rev. David DeWitt officiating.

Funeral home visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Burial with military graveside honors will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Mr. Vaughan died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in Jeff Davis Living Center.

Mr. Vaughan was a resident of Lake Arthur over 60 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired field supervisor in the oil industry. He was an avid gardener who was very proud of his fruit trees. He was involved in the Methodist Church and the church’s men’s club for over 50 years. He was also a Mason and Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Vincent Vaughan; son, Brian Keith Vaughan of Baton Rouge and daughter-inlaw, Robyn Vaughan; two sisters, Freda Lee of Plantersville, Texas, and Joy Broussard of Jasper, Texas; grandson, Masen Reid Vaughan and granddaughter, Ashleigh Washington; and two great-grandchildren, Cadence and Ryker Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Loveling Hebert Vaughan; and two brothers, Norman and Kelly Vaughan.
