Cynthia Anne Guillot

The family of Cynthia Anne Guillot will welcome friends today, Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at University Baptist Church.

A final blessing will be prayed by Father Whitney Miller at 1 p.m.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

Cynthia Anne was one of six children born to Robert Joseph and Nettie Anne Guillot. She was born in Petersburg, Va., on Dec. 2, 1960.

She was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, by her parents, Robert Guillot and Nettie Miller; her stepfather, Jim Miller; and her dearest friend, Mary.

Cynthia grew up in Welsh, graduating from Welsh High School. She then attended Louisiana State University, followed by Delta Technical College where she earned an accounting degree.

She embraced the era she was born in and enjoyed life as it came, full of vibrance, laughter, love and family. Her three children, Jessica, Kristen, and Dylan, brought an abundance of joy into her life. She taught her children to enjoy and celebrate life, to find its beauty in the simplest of things. When her children grew and had children of their own, she became Groovy Granny “gg.” She loved spending time with them and making the greatest memories.

She enjoyed loud, live music and dancing to the beat and putting her creative funk on everything she touched. As a member of the Krewe of Komova, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and allowing her groovy side to flow for their many get-togethers, Mardi Gras balls and parade rides.

She was employed with Entergy as an administrative clerk until her retirement in 2019.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jessica Johnson and Kristen (Richard) Conner; a son, Dylan (Jorden) Guillot; nine grandchildren, Frankie, Andi, Hitch, Brayden, Graysen, Mia, Macie, Marley and Dylan, Jr.; three brothers, Tommy Guillory, Mark Guillot and Scott Guillot; two sisters, Bobbie Jo (Wayne) Phenice and Angie (Lee) Snider; her extended family and friends; and her beloved 1 … 2 … 3 … Komova.
