Debra Daigle Sonnier

Debra Daigle Sonnier, 55, was called home to the arms of her Heavenly Father on April 28, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services for Debra Daigle Sonnier of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Eric Sonnier officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 2:30 p.m. until the time of her funeral service on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Debra will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born in Jennings to Ray Thomas Daigle and Mary Alice Fontenot Daigle on Aug. 30, 1962. Debra loved spending time with her family and friends. Her presence will be significantly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debra is survived by her husband, Ricky Sonnier of Jennings; sons, Eric Ray (Cindy) Sonnier of Jennings and Derrick Thomas Sonnier of Jennings; daughter, Renee Sonnier of Jennings; 11 grandchildren, Gracie, Dane, Lucas, Gabe, Ava, Hannah, Sara Kate, Payton, Keith, Julia and Nate; mother, Mary Alice Fontenot of Jennings; three brothers, Howard Daigle of Plaquemine, Charles Daigle of Jennings and Michael Daigle of Jennings; and four sisters, Sally Porter, Susan Daigle, Wanda Daigle, and Brenda Murry all of Jennings.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Ray Thomas Daigle; and beloved son, Richard “Big Rick” Sonnier.

Carrying Debra to her final resting place in Greenwood Cemetery will be Ricky Sonnier, Howard Daigle, Michael Daigle, Buford Sonnier, Todd Sonnier, Dusty Sonnier, T-Mike Daigle, Blaze Courville and Wil Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dane, Lucas, Gabe, Keith and Nate Sonnier.
