Delta Marceaux Bertrand

GUEYDAN - The family and friends of Delta Marceaux Bertrand are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on Aug. 20, 2018, at the age of 93.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Floyd Lelkowitz officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Gueydan Cemetery.

Delta was born in Vermilion Parish to Oscar Marceaux and Lucia Hebert on Dec. 9, 1925. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to the care of her family. Delta loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Delta leaves behind one son, Wilbert (Carolyn) Bertrand of Lowry; two daughters, Arthurine Bertrand of Gueydan and Aline Bertrand; eight grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lucia Marceaux; her beloved husband, Leroy Bertrand; and her three children, Maron, Donald and Winford Bertrand.
