Earline Guidry Michon Delcambre

LAKE ARTHUR - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Earline Guidry Michon Delcambre, 89, of Lake Arthur on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father Jay Alexius officiating.

Visitation for Mrs. Delcambre was held Monday, May 14, from 4:30-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Delcambre was born Nov. 15, 1928 in Perry. She was a high school graduate of Kaplan High School Class of 1946 and lived in the Lake Arthur community for over 60 years. She was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Alfred) Duhon of Jennings and JoNell (Jimmie) Hebert of Lafayette; one son, John “JD” (Thelma) Michon of Conroe, Texas; sonin-law, Eugene Allemand; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Mrs. Delcambre was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Marguerite Porter Guidry; husbands J.A. “Peyank” Michon and Alcide “Speck” Delcambre; two daughters, Beatrice Alleman and Allen Rose Michon; three sisters, Imay Harrington, Ophelia Calais and Melva Abshire; six brothers, Dennis, John, Cebra, Jessie, O’Neil and Melvin Guidry; one grandchild, Monica Michon; and one great grandchild, Timberlee Pellerin.
