Edwin ‘Nig’ Price
LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Mr. Edwin “Nig” Joseph Price, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2018, in Miguez Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Mr. Price passed away at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, in Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and will resume from 8 a.m. Friday until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Price was lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a retired commercial shrimper. He loved to eat, play Yahtzee and watch “The Price is Right” while eating Snickers bars.
He is survived by his wife, Elma Bourgeois Cantrelle Price; two daughters, Penny Cantrelle of Jennings and Pamela Cantrelle of Mobile, Ala.; one son, Phillip Cantrelle, Jr. of Lake Arthur; three brothers, Franklin (Norma) Price, Warren Price and James (Barbara) Price, all of Lake Arthur; grandchildren, Traci Dipalma, Craig Fontenot, Jami Elkins, Rusty Fontenot, Kelli Cantrelle, Kayla Hotard, Kyle Wallace, Krista Wallace, Katie Cantrelle, Hunter Cantrelle, Kami Feverjean and Kasey Feverjean.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Marlin and Leonia Guidry Price; two daughters, Brenda Joyce Price and Goldie Ann Price; two sisters, Lanah Wilhite and Elva “Nan” Price; two brothers, Alvin and Johnie Price; and one grandchild, Chris Fontenot.
Pallbearers will be Craig Fontenot, Curtis Trahan, Bobby Guidry, Dion Cantrelle, Phil Cantrelle and Franklin Price.
