It’s with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of Henrietta Sittig Monceaux announces her passing from this life into the arms of the Angels on Sept. 16, 2018, at the age of 70.

Funeral services for Henrietta Sittig Monceaux, 70, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Mr. Jack Harris officiating.

A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 2:30-8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Visitation will resume today, Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of her funeral service at 2 p.m.

Henrietta will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.

Henrietta was born in Jennings to Robert Sittig and Rosa Mae Louviere Sittig on Feb. 3, 1948. She worked for Walmart until she retired. In her spare time Henrietta loved to go fishing and go to the movies. She also loved traveling to Branson, Mo., for vacation. Most of all she loved spending time with all of her family and friends. Henrietta was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Henrietta leaves behind to cherish her memories her significant other, Tommy Crochet of Jennings; her son, Donald Ray Monceaux, Jr. (Meredith) of Longville; her two brothers, Ricky Sittig (Rochelle) of Texas and Mickey Sittig of Jennings; her three sisters, Patricia Timmons (Bill) of Jennings, Dora LeBlanc (Buddy) of Iowa and Kathryn Johnson of Jennings; her two grandchildren, Tyler Seth Monceaux (Madison) and Collin Ray Monceaux; and her two great-grandchildren, Harlan Rush Monceaux and Koven Rhett Monceaux.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rosa Sittig; her grandson, Hunner Brek Monceaux; and her brother, Herbert Lee Sittig.

Carrying Henrietta to her final resting place will be Tyler Monceaux, Collin Monceaux, Travis Jones, Bubba Jones, Cy Sittig and Trey Morvant.
