Joan Bernard Rubin

Funeral service for Mrs. Joan Bernard Rubin, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in Mt. Triumph Baptist Churchm, with Rev. James Fontenot officiating.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.

Mrs. Rubin entered into eternal rest Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, in a local care center.

She was a native of Jennings and a member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, where she served as an uUsher until her health failed. She retired as a cafeteria employee for Jeff Davis Parish School System.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Cardero and Garrin Rubin, both of Jennings; two brothers, Claude Bernard, Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Randy Bernard, Sr., of Jennings; one sister, Betty Bernard of Jennings; three aunts; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Tyrone Rubin; a brother; two sisters; and two uncles.
