Leddie F. Fontenot

IOTA ~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leddie F. Fontenot announces her passing on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, with loving family by her side, at the age of 84.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Grace Community Baptist Church. At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Grace Community Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 9, from 2-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will follow in Grace Community Baptist Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Colsen officiating, under the direction of Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Iota.
Leddie was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving women and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, but most of all she loved going to church and hunting with her husband of 52 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Patricia A. Gotte and husband, Lee A. of Westlake; her sister, Leelice Fontenot of Baton Rouge; her three grandchildren, Tricia Byrd, John Paul Gotte and Jacinta Rippeon; and her four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Christoper Byrd and Madisyn and Miranda Rippeon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Fontenot; her parents, Odian and Dora Mouton Faulk; and siblings, Nolia Atkinson and Lovelace Faulk.
Carrying Leddie to her resting place will be Ethan and Christopher Byrd, John Paul Gotte, Todd Rippeon, Larry Hadaway and Noah Kittles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Madisyn and Miranda Rippeon.
