Mrs. Mabel was born in Lydia on Saturday, May 3, 1917, to the late Adonis and Edna Boudreaux Guillotte. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, in the comfort of her home surrounded by the family to whom she devoted her life, at the beautiful age of 101.

She loved working in her flower gardens and entertaining her family and ministers. Mrs. Mabel especially loved cooking gumbo, better known as the “Gumbo Queen,” and had a beautiful sense of humor. Mrs. Mabel’s faith was always strong, no matter what obstacle life put in front of her. She was the definition of love, loyalty and strength.
